VISION & MISSION
Sisters Legacy Foundation was established in 2024. It is our mission to provide the resources and support to uplift and advance the Black Community; in unity, financial stabilization, self-sufficiency and political voice. Seattle, Washington, will be our starting point and home of our flagship location. Our mission is to have an active hub in each major city in the United States.
For many years Black Americans have struggled to get by, to raise families, go to college, be home and business owners.
For most, we have struggled or started the race from a negative place when it has come to "generational wealth". Unfortunately, for many, we inherited poverty, debt, despair and heartache, broken homes, with absent fathers and single mother households. With that being said, latch key children were left to raise themselves.
I don't want to paint the picture that we are a hopeless people, because we are not. We a resilient, creative and talented people.
There are large numbers of people that were able to overcome their circumstances and succeed. Some that went on to obtain further education and degrees, some that have opened thriving businesses, just still not a number large enough to be competitive with our counterparts.
Sisters Legacy Foundation wants to be an organization that helps the hopeless, the disadvantaged to reach to higher heights. Through education, investments, saving and recycling "our" money back into our own community, we can join the running. We will fund our own Credit Unions, start our own e-commerce, own land, buy and sell homes for our own use.
We will join other organizations that have similar vision and those that complement our vision, mission and goals.
Our First Goal is to UNITE, change our mindset, change our mindset from victim to victor, overcomer.
Second, is to put enough money together to open at least 50 credit unions.
Third, create an educational curriculum to educate on "Business", running a business. From start-up to creating generational wealth.
To keep our community strong, we need to groom, endorse and vote for someone to represent us in the political arena.
Yes, there is a lot of work to be done!
